Melbourne streetscape Foodies' Tour of Melbourne
Join this delicious tour for the sights, sounds and tastes of Melbourne's foodie secrets. Along the way we’ll learn a little about Melbourne's foodie history, culture and architecture. This walking, talking and tasting excursion kicks off with hot chocolate at the Max Brenner store then makes its way through the Greek quarter of Lonsdale Street. It then moves into Chinatown where we enjoy roast duck, Chinese egg tarts and decadent samosas. The tour will then make its way along Little Collins Street to visit the famous Quist's Coffee House, stop for tastings at Phillippa’s city bakery and onto the David Jones Food Hall. Then it's time for truffles at Koko Black and a wander through the food filled laneways and alleys to the Ganache Chocolate Store to enjoy some award winning macarons.
This tour is on foot and takes 3-4 hours to complete.

Foodies' Tour of Carlton
Carlton and Lygon Street have one of the strongest culinary histories in all of Melbourne. From earliest settlement times it has been a place where people from around the world have come to gather and eat together. Today the heart of Italian food beats strongly in Carlton. Your guide will lead students along this famous foodie strip to meet the storekeepers, taste their specialties and learn a little about Lygon Streets foodie history, stories and architecture. Tastings and visits will include La Parisienne Pâtés, Gewürzhaus for awesome spice blends, Brunetti for decadent Italian cakes and sourdough breads at Baker D. Chirico. There is also time to learn (and taste) properly made coffee, freshly made mozzarella and true free-range smallgoods. We will finish the tour with gelati (of course). A wonderful way to see the old and new in one of Melbourne’s most famous ‘eat streets’.

Footscray Foodies' Tour of Footscray (NEW)
Footscray has long been Melbourne’s cultural melting pot. Italian, Greek, Irish, Indian and Vietnamese live and work alongside people from Eritrean, Ethiopia and Somalia. Each nationality has brought with them an understanding of culinary traditions, ingredients, recipes and ways of eating that slowly creep into the social fabric. This tour will take in many of these elements as we work our way through the butchers, fishmongers and delis of the Footscray Market. We then move beyond the market to explore streets filled with Indian food stores, Italian bakeries and Asian grocers. Tastings will include Bombay spice mix, Asian snacks, ricotta filled cannoli, sugarcane juice and traditional African bread. The tour also explores the Little Saigon Shopping precinct to get a taste of Vietnamese food and ingredients. We then explore the African cafes and bakeries before finishing with a hot jam doughnut from the famous Olympic doughnut van.
The tour is on foot and takes 3 hours to complete. It can be held on a Tuesday thru to Friday.

Foodies' Shop and Cook Tour (NEW)
Shop and Cook combines a food tour of the Prahran market plus an opportunity to get hands-on at Melbourne’s newest cooking school. The group will be taken on a guided tour through the Prahran Market to meet specialist retailers and learn how to choose the very best ingredients. Everything from seafood and aged meats to fresh fruit and vegetables. We then move to the cooking school to meet chef Walter Trupp and get hands-on in his cooking school with a beautiful recipe for potato gnocchi. Students will get an opportunity to measure, chop, mix, shape and create beautiful hand-made gnocchi, plus an accompanying tomato based sauce. Chef Walter will also have students creating a classic apple pie for all to enjoy. A fantastic way for students to learn how to shop well, cook well and enjoy a great meal together.
The tour is conducted on foot and takes 3-4 hours to complete. It can be held on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday.

Foodies' Tour of Victoria Street, Richmond
Victoria Street, Richmond is a bustling and vibrant community where some of the city’s cheapest and best food is found. Melbournians flock here day and night for the fresh, vibrant food and flavours of Vietnam. Choy sum Journey along bustling Victoria Street and be introduced to amazing tastes and experiences in Vietnamese bakeries, grocer’s shops, fishmongers and roast houses. Taste fragrant fresh herbs, tropical fruits, Asian baking and crispy roast duck. Finish the experience with a visit to wonderful local restaurant and a selection of beautiful dishes to share.
This tour is on foot and takes 2 - 2 ½ hours to complete.

Foodies' Tour of Prahran
Journey around the food-filled suburb of Prahran for wonderful tastings and foodie experiences. Visit Oliveria for a tutored olive oil tasting then make a quick pit-stop at a wonderful sourdough bakery. Then journey through the Prahran Market for tastings of freshly opened oysters, stunning smallgoods, cheeses, awesome dried fruits and nuts. Guests will also meet some of the markets fresh produce specialists. Next up is a visit to the wonderful Market Lane Coffee. This is followed by a stroll along fashionable Chapel Street with the ultimate destination of a tasting at the Ganache chocolate store.
