Melbourne Food Tours can be booked by school groups for their own private food filled journey.
They are proving very popular with teachers looking for activities for their hospitality and food technology students.

We offer a Foodies' Walking tour of Melbourne at a special price for school groups - $55.00 pp (GST inc).
The tour begins with hot chocolates at Max Brenner in the QV building, then kicks off with a walk through the Greek quarter of Lonsdale Street.
We then move into Chinatown and visit the Maxims Bakery for egg tarts and discuss the history behind this ever-popular shopping and dining area.
The group then explores Chinatown and its many food stores as well as seeing where some of Melbourne's best new restaurants are located around Bourke Street
and Little Bourke Street. We then make our way along Little Collins Street past the famous Quist's Coffee House to the Mei Hong Yen Asian snack shop.
Then it's onto the Koko Black for chocolates and a wander through the laneways and alleys to Centre Place.
We then make out way to Federation Square where the tour concludes. Along the way we discuss the fantastic food history of Melbourne including information on where the cities produce and fish markets used to be located.
This tour takes 2 - 2 1/2 hours to complete, is on foot and there are a number of tastings along the way.

This is followed by a cheese tasting at one of the city's best providores, followed by a trip to the streets of Carlton for amazing gelati and finally it's off to

This involves a guided tour around the Queen Victoria
Market to meet some of the best stall holders and enjoy tastings of their very best products. The group then makes its way to the cooking school where a cooking class
is held using the best seasonal ingredients from the market.
This combination of class and tour is a terrific way to become acquainted with this iconic Melbourne market, as well as the opportunity for a cooking class hosted by
chef and food author Allan Campion. Classes can be held on any market day, (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday) depending on availability. This tour and class takes 2 1/2 hours to complete. Cost of $66.00 per person (GST inc).
Minimum booking 15 people.
Larger groups can be arranged - with groups of more than 18 we split into two teams.
Everyone then gets equal time in the cooking school plus time on the market tour.
